%k is defined as: "Two digit representation of the hour in 24-hour format, with a space preceding single digits"

A two digit representation cannot have single digits.

I see what it's trying to say, but it's at best very confusing when reading through.

I think it should say: "Hour in 24-hour format, with a space preceding single digits"

This wording is consistent with "%e" which is for the month numbers expressed in the same form.

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.
