Description:
------------
Using php5 5.4.17-1~precise+1 (from the ondrej/php5-oldstable PPA)

The php5-mysqlnd PECL module is also installed from this repo too.

Tried to issue "pecl install mysqlnd_ms" since there is no PPA for this yet (I
prefer to use repos wherever possible.)

result is this: "ext/mysqlnd/mysqlnd.h: No such file or directory"

Looks like this MAY be related to https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=54644 but it's
not exactly.

Expected result:
----------------
Standard PECL installation happening.

Actual result:
--------------

Also - tried this with other versions, every single one I tried still had the same
issue.

1.5.2, 1.4.2, 1.4.1, 1.3.2, etc...

Thought maybe the newest version might have a specific dependency on PHP core
5.5.x now.

please check whether there's a php-mysql-dev package or similar. the required headers files
have to very provided somehow.

with vanilla php they are part of the normal install process. if you can't find mysqlnd.h please
talk to your package.

talk to the packager ... talking to the package obviously won't help (except to answer the
philosophical question on how one speaks to virtual data ;))

Would like to say that Ondrej has fixed his php5-dev Debian/Ubuntu package to have
the headers, and also now has a "php5-mysqlnd-ms" Debian/Ubuntu package on his PPA
as well (http://dotdeb.org) - originally I had not really wanted to file this as a
bug on PHP's part, but possibly have it require less of a dependency or something.

Anyway I think this might help a handful of people out now.

Sorry - http://debphp.org/ is his website with information about the PPA/repos.
