Upgrading from memcached 2.0.0b2 to 2.0.1 with pecl breaks compatibility with PHP 5.2 (tested with 5.2.17):

Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib64/php/modules/memcached.so' - /usr/lib64/php/modules/memcached.so: undefined symbol: zend_parse_parameters_none
