From manual page: http://www.php.net/mysqli.connect#refsect1-mysqli.connect-examples
---

In Example #1, a comment reads

* BUT $connect_error was broken until PHP 5.2.9 and 5.3.0.

How can something be broken 'until' two different versions?
Was it perhaps broken until PHP 5.3.0?
Or maybe it was broken in 5.2.9 and 5.30, but not in earlier and later versions?

The 5.2.x branch was broken until 5.2.9.
The 5.3.x branch was broken until 5.3.0 (i.e. any alphas, betas and RCs).
