Description:
------------
guys,

i already have amqp 0.2.2 installed and tried to update PECL
package via `pecl upgrade amqp` but got compilation error.

unfortunately, i can't uninstall previous extension version
there. would you mind to deal with that error?

btw, i've tried to install from SVN, but got the same result:

Reproduce code:
---------------
$ sudo pecl install -s package2.xml

or

$ sudo pecl upgrade amqp

Actual result:
--------------
$ sudo pecl install package2.xml
Skipping package "pecl/amqp", already installed as version
0.2.2
No valid packages found
install failed

$ sudo pecl install -s package2.xml

Thank you for taking the time to report a problem with PHP.
Unfortunately you are not using a current version of PHP --
the problem might already be fixed. Please download a new
PHP version from http://www.php.net/downloads.php

If you are able to reproduce the bug with one of the latest
versions of PHP, please change the PHP version on this bug report
to the version you tested and change the status back to "Open".
Again, thank you for your continued support of PHP.

Try a newer version of the library along with a newer version of the rabbitmq-c client library.

We are seeing the same compilation errors with our version of PHP. We are using 5.2.4.

The requirement listed for this PHP extension is "PHP Version: PHP 4.3.0 or newer"

I think the requirement should be updated to reflect current PHP support, or the code should be altered to support older versions of PHP.
