Bug #57915 Compile fails due to missing symbols
Submitted: 2007-11-16 22:19 UTC Modified: 2010-05-08 16:38 UTC
From: ezyang@php.net Assigned:
Status: Not a bug Package: hidef (PECL)
PHP Version: 5_2 CVS-2007-11-16 OS: Windows Vista
Private report: No CVE-ID: None
 [2007-11-16 22:19 UTC] ezyang@php.net
Description:
------------
When attempting to compile hidef on Windows using MSVCE 2005, there are unresolved external symbol errors. These errors do not exist in the 0.1 alpha release, so revision 1.5 is at fault. I do not know enough about PHP's core to produce a patch though.

Actual result:
--------------
hidef.obj : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _zend_ini_scanner_get_line
no referenced in function _hidef_ini_parser_cb
hidef.obj : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _php_scandir referenced in
 function _zm_startup_hidef
hidef.obj : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _php_alphasort referenced
in function _zm_startup_hidef
Release_TS\php_hidef.dll : fatal error LNK1120: 3 unresolved externals
NMAKE : fatal error U1077: '"cl.exe"' : return code '0x2'
Stop.

Thank you for taking the time to report a problem with the package.
Unfortunately you are not using a current version of the package --
the problem might already be fixed. Please download a new
version from http://pecl.php.net/packages.php

If you are able to reproduce the bug with one of the latest
versions, please change the package version on this bug report
to the version you tested and change the status back to "Open".
Again, thank you for your continued support of PECL.
