This is not really a bug with the software but more of a server issue, but a change in the code may alleviate the problem with the server.

Installed uploadprogress on a Gentoo Linux server hosted on a virtual machine.  The server appears to be having some "time drift" issues where the current time is .01 microseconds less than the "last time" at random points.  This time drift is causing the uploadprogress to miscalculate the "est_sec" left for the download because it continually "resets" the "time_start" to the current time because it checks for fractures in time.  There appears to be a fix for this but I'm unsure if the "fix" may cause other problems.  The fix would mean changing line 147 of uploadprogress.c.

From:

progress->time_start = progress->time_last = crtime; 

To:

progress->time_last = crtime;

This bug has been fixed in CVS.

In case this was a documentation problem, the fix will show up at the
end of next Sunday (CET) on pecl.php.net.

In case this was a pecl.php.net website problem, the change will show
up on the website in short time.
