On /manual/de/functions.arguments.php there is a text saying:

"Bitte beachten Sie, dass alle Vorgabewerte rechts von den Nicht-Vorgabeparametern stehen sollten - sonst wird es nicht funktionieren. Betrachten Sie folgendes Beispiel:"

Translated back into English it reads:

"Please take care that all default values should be to the right of non-default-parameters - otherwise it's not working. See the following example:"

Though it isn't wrong at all, it's still too confusing due to putting default VALUES and non-default PARAMETERS into direct relationship ignoring any intermediate default parameter. I'd propose to rather put default and non-default parameters into relationhip using same constraint, with the default values attached for clear separation of either type of parameter:

"Bitte beachten Sie, dass alle Parameter mit Vorgabewert rechts von den Parametern ohne Vorgabewert stehen müssen - sonst wird es nicht funktionieren. Betrachten Sie folgendes Beispiel:"

"Please take care that all parameters with default value must be to the right of parameters without default value - otherwise it's not working. See the following example:"

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.
