Last week I came over a problem that I couldn't believe my eyes.
I was not able anymore to use the function "unlink()" after upgrading from PHP 4.0.0 to PHP 4.0.1.
Weird, huh? But it's true. The error message was something like
"unlink is not supported in this PHP build!".
I have Windows 98, Apache Web Server 1.3.12 and of course PHP 4.0.1.

Till now everything worked PERFECTLY...no problems at all. Since
I got PHP 4.0.1, I have only problems. I have even had problems
with an PHP application coded by be under PHP 4.0.0. This
application has a "rename" command in it. Well...guess
what...I've got an error with PHP 4.0.1. Once I switched back to
PHP 4.0.0, guess again what...no problem at all. So what is goin' on here? :-(((

I've also installed the two new patch levels for PHP 4.0.1 from
www.php.net, but it was of no help at all.

Is it on purpose to stop any Windows user from executing file deletion or file commands at all?

Write me at chris777@gmx.net

Thanx a lot!

Chris
