Compilation work with PHP 5.2.2 but not 5.2.4

In 5.2.2 :
checking libxml2 install dir...

In 5.2.4 :
checking for xml2-config path...
configure: error: xml2-config not found. Please check your libxml2 installation.

My xml2-config is in /opt/freeware/libxml2/2.6.30/bin
