while firing a mail from my php script i am getting the CGI Error

Expected result:

just fire the mail to destination address

Actual result:
--------------
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers

why it is throwing cgi error?
there might be something in php, i am not using cgi bin still it is throwing the error.
