Running php-4.3.4-installer.exe fails at a late hurdle, because (afaict) Windows XP Professional runs IIS 5.1, which release appears not to include iisext.vbs. At least, that file is not present anywhere on my system.

The installer only runs the iisext.vbs script if you tell 
it you are running IIS 6 or higher. If you click on the 
'IIS4 or higher' box, the installer will not try to run 
that script.
