Here's the code snippet I am using:

<?
$word = new COM("word.application") or die("Unable to instanciate Word");
print "Loaded Word, version {$word->Version}\n";
$word->Visible = 1;
$word->Documents->Add();
$word->Selection->TypeText("This is a test...");
$word->Documents[1]->SaveAs("Useless test.doc");
$word->Quit();
?>

instatiating the Word object works fin. I can tell becuse this does not fail when comment all the other code out and I can see in the Windows Task Manager that an instance of Word was instantiated. As soon as I try to do anything else, I get one of those famous XP error screens asking me if I want to send the info to Microsoft.

According to this code (which I got from PHP help site somewhere) it looks fairly straight forward. Nothing fancy going on here. Can you help?

Thank you.

Can you please test latest CVS and report whether the problem still exists on XP?

- thanks -
