the strangest thin i evere saw... everything works ok but it seems i can't pass variables neither tru url quey or form submitting... i.e.:

calling http://..... test.php?X=something

and in test.php:

<?=$X?>

i get:

Notice: Undefined variable: X in ...\test.php on line ...

(PHP 4.2.1 installed on a brand new server :-o...and reinstalled so many times ...)

In PHP 4.2.0, the 'register_globals' setting default changed to
be off. See http://www.php.net/release_4_2_0.php for more info.
We are sorry about the inconvenience, but this change was a necessary
part of our efforts to make PHP scripting more secure and portable.
