PHP build with the below configuration options, built for Apache 2.0.39, fails with a parse error on line 93 of sapi/apache2filter/php_functions.c, which reads:
#if !MODULE_MAGIC_AT_LEAST(20020506,0)

MODULE_MAGIC_AT_LEAST is #defined in the Apache headers as "old_broken_macro_we_hope_you_are_not_using". It looks to me like that line should be changed to:
#if !AP_MODULE_MAGIC_AT_LEAST(20020506,0)

Doing so allows it to compile, and apparently work.

'./configure' '--with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs' '--enable-bcmath' '--enable-calendar' '--enable-ftp' '--enable-mailparse' '--enable-mbstring' '--enable-mbregex' '--enable-sockets' '--with-openssl' '--with-zlib' '--with-bz2' '--with-db' '--with-db2' '--with-db3' '--with-mysql' '--with-pgsql'

This bug has been fixed in CVS. You can grab a snapshot of the
CVS version at http://snaps.php.net/. In case this was a documentation
problem, the fix will show up soon at http://www.php.net/manual/.
In case this was a PHP.net website problem, the change will show
up on the PHP.net site and on the mirror sites.
Thank you for the report, and for helping us make PHP better.

This is already fixed in CVS, try snaps.php.net/php-latest.tar.bz2
