I found out that in ext/cyrus.c there's an argument missing.
If you change line 360 from

  &retval, 4, argv, 0, NULL) == FAILURE) {

to

  &retval, 4, argv, 0, NULL TSRMLS_CC) == FAILURE) {

the file gets compiled.
