Given a "php.ini" file with:
include_path = ; UNIX:"/path1:/path2" Windows:"\path1;\path2"

"phpinfo();" reports:
include_path = .:/usr/local/lib/php

"require_once 'DB.php';" fails:
Fatal error: Failed opening required 'DB.php' (include_path='') in ... on line ...

I believe that the "include_path" should just default to "." according to the PHP documentation. So "phpinfo()" seems to report a wrong default "include_path".

(Everything works just fine when the "php.ini" "include_path" is actually set to ".:/usr/local/lib/php".)

Tested with PHP 4.2.0RC2 and got the same result.
The bug is in phpinfo() output which should show empty
string there.

If you want to have the default builtin path, comment
out the whole include_path line in php.ini
