why isn't there any suggestion/guide to the web-developers
that we should use unix timestamp for internal processing
and allowing convert in input/output

almost every c/c++ programmer would think,
it's fooly yet funny to operate TIME using STRING format
also in low speed



i've read so many codes when they calc the time_diff
mktime(..substr($time, 0, 4) - substr(..)..... blah... blah);


i'm using unix timestamp in my hold website, and output in certain format as I like. it's simple yet enough!
i'm afraid it's only needed by mysql to store string-format timestamp(mysql timestamp) that we can search by month or year and others

the documentation does explain how to use unix timestamps.
