I have the same problem as in case 10562 (Undefined symbol: .alloca)
The sollution was: get the lastest version of PHP (version 4.0.6 RC2).
The URL http://www.php.net/~andi/php-4.0.6RC2.tar.gz is not working.
Where can I download this version OR when is it being released.

Try one of these:

http://www.php.net/~andi/php-4.0.6RC3.tar.gz
http://snaps.php.net/

Where latter is the place where you get the bleeding edge..
