I get a dns error whenever using a form with a ENCTYPE="multipart/form-data" tag.

Here are some example scripts:

http://www.sentientnetware.com/x/test.php -- upload test
http://www.sentientnetware.com/x/ver.php  -- phpinfo()

File uploads used to work...probably about a year ago. PHP, Apache, and mySQL are the only software that has been updated since then.

Current running: php 4.0.5 and apache 1.3.20

I've tried just about everything including

cfg options in httpd.conf and php.ini
permissions on /tmp
different scripts

Bug or obscure cfg option?

Where does this DNS error show up? In log file?
What is the script like?
Could you try PHP 4.0.6RC2:

http://www.php.net/~andi/php-4.0.6RC2.tar.gz

Here is the script

  <?php

   if($fsubmit)
   {
      echo "userfile: $userfile";

      if( $userfile && $userfile != "none" && is_uploaded_file($userfile) )
      {
         $result = move_uploaded_file( $userfile , "/www/htdocs/upload/$userfile_name");

         if( $result )   echo "<BR>Upload Succeeded!<BR>";
         else            echo "<BR>Upload Failed!<BR>";
      }
   }

  ?>

  <FORM NAME="testform" ENCTYPE="multipart/form-data" ACTION="test.php" METHOD="post">
   <INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="MAX_FILE_SIZE" VALUE="1000000">
   <INPUT TYPE="file" NAME="userfile">
   <INPUT TYPE="submit" NAME="fsubmit" VALUE="Upload">
  </FORM>

------------

When I submit, the browser starts to load the page and the server log reports the hit...but the browser never displays the page.

Instead, I get the IE default "server not found" page, with "The page cannot be displayed" title.

I will try .6rc2
