Description:

http://pecl.php.net/package/APCu

There's no "View Documentation" link as is usually found in other packages, and there's not even a description of what APCu is.

So, is it going to stay like this forever??

Also, the README claims it is a "drop-in replacement" to APC (as far as user cache is concerned).
Drop-in replacement needs code written to work with APC should work out of the box, and that's not true. The fuction apc_fetch(), just to name one, does not exist. Perhaps it's just a matter of renaming every apc_whatever to apcu_whatever, but that's not a "drop-in" replacement at all.

Forget my previous comment.
Apcu actually _is_ a drop-in replacement, it was just not working because the debian package is broken.

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better.

Sorry it took so long ...
