I'm using user defined sessions to store my session data into a mysql database ... my code worked well from 4.0.2 to 4.0.3pl1, I just upgraded to 4.0.4pl1 and it doesn't work anymore ...

It seems that sometimes the session is not written at all to the the db, and sometimes it's written but with empty data ...

Could you please give some feedback if this problem persists with a recent version (CVS, snapshot, 4.0.5 release) of PHP? Thanks!

the problem seems to be gone with 4.0.5, but I still don't know where it
came from !
