The Sun Workshop version 5.0 compiler returns a syntax error on ext/spl/spl_iterators.c line 1484 of the 5.2.0 source release:

return;// NULL

Removing the comment allows the compile to finish successfully.  This has already been fixed in CVS, but still exists in the stable release available on the main site.

This bug has been fixed in CVS.

Snapshots of the sources are packaged every three hours; this change
will be in the next snapshot. You can grab the snapshot at
http://snaps.php.net/.
