Sorry, but I didn't get the difference between the two functions forward_static_call and call_user_func. Is there any specific behaviour for forward_static_call/forward_static_call_array that is not mentioned? Or does "This function must be called within a method context, it can't be used outside a class." describe the one and only difference? Also, what happens when its called outside of a class?

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.
