The documentation for mssql_select_db says, 

"the database name must be enclosed in brackets, as is shown in the example, below"

but there is no example demonstrating enclosing a database name in brackets.

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better.

The example was changed a while back as part of a revamp of the mssql docs. I have 
added a second example demonstrating the use of square brackets.
