There is not any kind of version information in the manual.
(manual.tar.gz)

There is not any kind manual's version information in the manual.
(manual.tar.gz) 
So I can't know how relevant some copy of manual is.

The problem is known and newer functions are clearly marked with a note.
The notes contains the version number when the function appeared.
