Bug #7881, as posted by alex@quad.com.ar is still present in PHP4.0.4pl1. My configuration is: Linux Mandrake 7.1, Apache 1.3.17, PHP4.0.4pl1, sybase-common-11.9.2.-3.1386.rpm, sybase-openclient-11.1.1-3.i386.rpm, SQLServer 7.0SP3 on Win2K.
Sending a valid query, using mssql_query() works fine, sending an invalid query (for a table that does not exist for example), hangs the script. PHP does not timeout, the browser does eventually.
For more details, see bug #7881.

Thanks,

Arjan

This is not related to the mssql extension. You are using the sybase extension.

Do you still have this problem PHP 4.1.1?

I'm sorry, I freshly installed my system a couple of months ago, and don't have the sybase libs installed...
The website in question is also offline by now, so I cannot test it anymore...
