Im tring to install php 4.0.1pl2 with apache 1.3.12, php compilation works fine, but when I try to run the make tool with apache, after configuring it with this statement

./configure --prefix=/internet/programas/www --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a

crashes producing a core dump file. The error I get it's the following

collect2: ld terminated with signal 10 [Bus Error], core dumped
make[2]: *** [target_static] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/export/home/prodrigu/apache_1.3.12/src'
make[1]: *** [build-std] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/export/home/prodrigu/apache_1.3.12'
make: *** [build] Error 2

Is there any kind of problem with these elements working together?

Seems that your installation is having problems. Anyway, it doesn't look like PHP problem but like Apache build problem.
PHP and Apache had worked fine together since ancient times.
