Well, I just installed PHP version 4.0.1pl2 yesterday and when I would add a table today to a database (via phpMyAdmin - http://www.phpwizard.net), he always said that the query was successfull submited but there was no table added... All the other thinks works fine. My website based on php an mysql still works. But I think there is a problem with the command to list the tables ...

Well and I don't think that there is a problem in phpmyadmin because before it worked fine ...

Thank for the your help, David

I can't reproduce this on my own machine (same specs: RH6.2, kernel 2.2.16, 4.0.1pl2). What version of phpMyAdmin do you use? 2.05 works fine here.

Well I'm using phpMyAdmin 2.0.5 and when I click in the menu tree on a database I will get this msg: No tables found in database. And when I click on the + sign of the database I will get the list of the table, but when I lick on a table name I get this msg: Error | MySQL said: No Database Selected | Back

Well when I make my connections in the console of linux it works ... so the databases and mysql are okay.

Then maybe you have your permissions not quite right. I don't think it is a bug in PHP.

Either the mysql perms are not properly setup for use
by phpMyAdmin, or phpMyAdmin is set up incorrectly.

rhl6.2, php4.0.1pl2, phpMyAdmin2.0.5 work together
nicely.

Troubleshoot this from the phpMyAdmin/mysql end.
