This report is the same as 5101 except using Solaris 7 and gcc 2.8.1 instead of Solaris 8 and gcc 2.95.

Does this problem persist  with more recent version of php4?  (latest CVS?)
And please provide your configure line.

No feedback from user.

And works fine in for me with same platform. Try using newer gcc. Or Sun cc.
