My config line:

./configure --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql --with-apache=../apache_1.3.9 --enable-track-vars

$ make

After some tinkering I found the problem.  I had to edit the libtool script.  Here's the diff output:

diff libtool libtool.orig

<           fi

>         $ fi

Is this just a local quirk?
