When I first do a configure, followed by a gmake,
and after that I do a "gmake distclean" and configure again,
I get an error when trying to make php again:

My configure command:
./configure --with-mysql=/opt/mysql-3.22.27 --with-apxs=/opt/apache_1.3.9/bin/apxs --with-xml --enable-track-vars --enable-magic-quotes

venus(root)/opt/php-3.0.13> ~/gmake
yacc -p php -v -d ./language-parser.y -o language-parser.tab.c
"./language-parser.y", line 186: fatal: invalid escape, or illegal reserved word: pure_parser
gmake: *** [language-parser.tab.c] Error 1

You need GNU bison, Solaris' yacc doesn't do the job.

nake clean is usually enough.
