When attempting to compile both IMAP C-Client support and Sybase-Ct into php3 for an apache module, the compile fails with the following:

gcc -DLINUX=2 -DUSE_HSREGEX `./apaci` \
      -o httpd buildmark.o modules.o modules/standard/libstandard.a modules/php3/libphp3.a main/libmain.a ./os/unix/libos.a ap/libap.a regex/libregex.a -Wl,-rpath,/usr/lib -Wl,-rpath,/usr/lib/mysql /root/tmp/imap-4.5/lib/c-client.a -lgd -L/usr/lib -lttf -L/usr/lib/mysql -lmysqlclient -Lmodules/php3 -L../modules/php3

 -lm -lcrypt -lgdbm
collect2: ld terminated with signal 11 [Segmentation fault], core dumped

Compiling with UW c-client version 4.5 or version 4.6-BETA does not make a difference.

This is a vendor issue. Unfortunately, we cannot do anything about how vendors choose their function names.
