I want to compile the apache-1.3.6 with php 3.0.9, php as a module
Compiling apache alone OK, PHP alone OK, apache with PHP-mod OK,
but last step (=linking all to httpd) fails with following report :

<=== modules
gcc -c -I./os/unix -I./include -DLINUX=2 -DUSE_HSREGEX modules.c
gcc -c -I./os/unix -I./include -DLINUX=2 -DUSE_HSREGEX buildmark.c
gcc -DLINUX=2 -DUSE_HSREGEX \
      -o httpd buildmark.o modules.o modules/standard/libstandard.a modules/php3/libphp3.a main/libmain.a ./os/unix/libos.a ap/libap.a regex/libregex.a -lm -lcrypt -lndbm
modules.o(.data+0x5c): undefined reference to `modphp3_module'
modules.o(.data+0xc0): undefined reference to `modphp3_module'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [target_static] Error 1

Any idea ?

I try compiling on different machines, but everytime the same.
It looks like a PHP-specific error with this version.... 3.0.7. works fine!

Christian

You mis-typed somewhere along the way. Probably on your Apache ./configure line.
modphp3_module must be something you typed somehow. Follow the installation
instructions *exactly* and it will work.

Yes, you're right... shame over me!!

But there are some compile-warning in the new PCRE-Module...
Hope that there are no risks to use the apache-daemon....

Many Thanks!!
Christian
