The SPL file splobjectstorage.inc [1] says it's been with us since PHP 6.0.

This old Internals thread says it has been part of PHP since PHP 5.1.2.

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better.

You can see it online once Marcus updates the docs
