PHP 5.2.1 does not work! When I try to launch web server it outputs many php errors and exits. I can't even view html files. Actually I have reported a bug concerning this issue which was treated as a "bogus" :( so I would like you this time to listen to me, as this really is a bug which needs to be fixed.

I'm currently using (trying to do so) Apache 2.2.4 (isn't it a new version?) and PHP5.2.1.

Reproduce code:

<?php
echo "php";
?> //does not work

Expected result:
----------------
I expect to see the string "php"

Actual result:
--------------
Instead I see nothing but a huge amount of php-related errors.

Sorry, but your problem does not imply a bug in PHP itself.  For a
