Bug #35295 typo in config.m4 for reflection extension
Submitted: 2005-11-19 18:17 UTC Modified: 2005-11-20 09:15 UTC

Status: Closed Package: Compile Failure
PHP Version: 6CVS-2005-11-19 (CVS) OS: Linux
Private report: No CVE-ID: None
[2005-11-19 18:17 UTC] demiurg at gmail dot com
Description:
------------
It seems like there's a typo in ext/reflection/config.m4:

now it's like:
PHP_ARG_ENABLE(reflection, whether to enable reflection support,
[ --disable-reflection Disable reflection support])

although, if I'm not mistaken, it should be either disabled by default like this:
PHP_ARG_ENABLE(reflection, whether to enable reflection support,
[ --enable-reflection Enable reflection support])

..or enabled by default like this one:
PHP_ARG_ENABLE(reflection, whether to enable reflection support,
[ --disable-reflection Disable reflection support], yes)

I think you wanted to do the latter.

Expected result:
----------------
PHP_ARG_ENABLE(reflection, whether to enable reflection support,
[ --disable-reflection Disable reflection support], yes)

Actual result:
--------------
PHP_ARG_ENABLE(reflection, whether to enable reflection support,
[ --disable-reflection Disable reflection support])

Actually i want it slightly different. But anyway you're right that cvs is wrong. Thanks for noticing. If you find such things you can also directly reply to the committ mail on the cvs mailing list (if subscribed) or put this on the internals@ list. Opening bugs for this kind of issues is not the best way. Anyway thanks for the notice.
