cvs version of php-4.4 cann't be compiled with 
--with-pdflib option enabled.
pdflib-6.0.1

If I replace php pdf extension with cvs version from pecl the compilation passed normaly.

Reproduce code:
---------------
./configure --with-pdflib && make

Actual result:
--------------
ext/pdf/pdf.lo: In function `zif_pdf_open':
pdf.c:(.text+0x6cb): undefined reference to `PDF_open_fp'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [sapi/cli/php] Error 1
