If I try to connect to the imap server, IMAP.fbk.eur.nl, it fails. It returns: "invalid remote specification", independent of:
* correct username/password
* mailbox name (changing IMAP.fbk.eur.nl to http://www.php.net/ gives the same error)
* Using port numbers (same result without port as with 143 or 993)
* adding INBOX after the server name

Standard mail clients like netscape, mozilla or novell netmail work fine, so the server seems to be ok.
Webserver is apache 1.3.

According to the manual (http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.imap-open.php) my syntax seems to be ok.

Bug report #27482 suggests that it might be a script/setup problem, but if so: what are the correct settings?
