The latest build (7 May 2003) of the downloadable helpfiles in CHM format crashes when I try to open them.

The error message reads:
"hh.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program."

This problem applies both to the English and Swedish language versions (possibly other languages too).
I have tried downloading from numerous mirrors too.

Best Regards,
  Mats B.

Try the latest version, as Derick says this is now fixed. Re-open if not.

pt_BR and sv are now building, will take about 2-3 hours before they go online.

Thanks for fixing the English downloadable documentation.
However the Swedish version is still seriously fucked up (only 141 KB long and obviously not complete).

Also my editor has lost the ability to access context sensitive help (i.e. finding help for a marked keyword). Is this because of a new structure of the CHM-files?
It used to work very well but the latest versions do not work anymore together with PrimalCode that I am running.

Cheers!

This bug has been fixed in CVS.

In case this was a PHP problem, snapshots of the sources are packaged
every three hours; this change will be in the next snapshot. You can
grab the snapshot at http://snaps.php.net/.

In case this was a documentation problem, the fix will show up soon at
http://www.php.net/manual/.

In case this was a PHP.net website problem, the change will show
up on the PHP.net site and on the mirror sites in short time.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make PHP better.

really fixed now :)

I have now received confirmation that lack of context-sensitive support is not a problem in the CHM file but rather in my editor PrimalCode. It will be fixed by the PrimalCode support team promptly.

The new versions of English and Swedish help files work very well.

Best regards,

  Mats B.
