I had a test script called php.php stored in /srv/www/htdocs with permissions rw-r--r--
<?php
phpinfo();
?>
Everytime I try to execute it, I am offered the opportunity to download or open it. Renamed file to phpinfo.php and it correctly executes. Renamed to fred.php, it executes. Renamed to php.php, back to being offered a download.

Vanilla install of Suse 8.2

Odd, unable to reproduce here. How is PHP triggered in your httpd.conf and which mime type is it you see in the download dialog?

Can't reproduce either, must be a configuration error
by user. Not bug -> bogus.

As it works correctly from MacOSX, Linux and other Win PCs, I am assuming that the Development PC I am using must have a config error causing this. In answer to Rasmus, the type trying to Save/Open is Maguma Studio File. Behaviour manifests itself only with a page/script named php.php. This bug reported to Maguma. Apologies - it does appear to be bogus.
