Quoted from: http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.odbc-execute.php

resource odbc_execute ( resource result_id [, array parameters_array])

Executes a statement prepared with odbc_prepare(). Returns TRUE on successful execution; FALSE otherwise. The array parameters_array only needs to be given if you really have parameters in your statement.

One place says the function returns a resource, the other says it returns TRUE or FALSE. The latter is correct.
