Hi,

I'm trying to compile PHP 4.2.2 on RedHat Linux 7.3 with
Oracle9i client libraries (Admin install).

My configuration parameters are as follow:

./configure --with-oci8 --with-apache=../apache_1.3.26

Configuration does not raise any errors.
Before I ran 'make' I checked that ORACLE_HOME and
ORACLE_OWNER are set correctly.

This is the error message I get:

gcc -I. -I/u1/TARBALLS/php-4.2.2/main -I/u1/TARBALLS/php-
4.2.2/main -I/u1/TARBALLS/php-4.2.2 -I/u1/TARBALLS/

I rebuilt my slocate database then looked for the file
oci.h - it doesn't exist anywhere.

Ronen.

You need to install oracle client development tools as well.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll try recompiling after I install the development tools.
