On lines 201 and 238 of ext/dbx/dbx_sybasect.c somebody used // to comment out those two lines.  // is for C++ comments, not C and causes the Compaq C compiler to signal an error and fail when compiling this file.  /* ... */ should be used instead for portability.

Same things goes for ext/exif/exif.c.  There are several // comments in the file.

This bug has been fixed in CVS. You can grab a snapshot of the
CVS version at http://snaps.php.net/. In case this was a documentation 
problem, the fix will show up soon at http://www.php.net/manual/.
In case this was a PHP.net website problem, the change will show
up on the PHP.net site and on the mirror sites.

This bug is NOT fixed in 4.2.2, though 4.2.2 was released weeks later than the reported bug fix.

4.2.2 was only a security release fixing one certain bug.
