I have built a 'standard' dual-interface COM dll. Most functions return data as a 1 dimmension SafeArray of VARIANTs. I get the following when I try: $jReader = new COM("journalmancom.reader") or die("Unable to instantiate JournalManCOM object"); $var = new VARIANT(); $jReader->GetPrimaryEventTypes( $var ); print $var->value; Warning: Unsupported variant type: 8204 (0x200C) This corresponds to VT_VARIANT | VT_ARRAY. I noticed that php_variant_to_pval() doesn't look for VT_ARRAY.
