<methodname> elements are rendered without parentheses on the end "()".  It would be nice if they were.  Several people on the php-doc list agree.

I am guessing the parentheses are not added currently because we don't want them added inside <methodsynopsis> -- meaning "Foo::Bar() (string $string)" would look silly.  So PhD needs to add "()" only when not in a methodsynopsis.

Test script:

<methodname>Foo::Bar</methodname>

Expected result:

Foo::Bar()

Actual result:

Foo::Bar
