This is by design and consistent with how it is currently.

..But you have a good point.
Its confusing to have it listed in the TOC, then after clicking it you have no way of going back except for hitting your browsers back button.
I'll look into it.

This bug has been fixed in CVS.

Snapshots of the sources are packaged every three hours; this change
will be in the next snapshot. You can grab the snapshot at
http://snaps.php.net/.
