With this loop: <?php for( $i = 1; $i <= 10000; $i *= 10 ){ echo 'foo '; } ?> PHP drops into an infinite loop (lots of 'foo' gets printed). This problem didn't exist in PHP 4.3.2-RC1. When changed to "; $i += 10 ){" it works as expected. When changed to "; $i *= 9 ){" only one 'foo' is printed. When changed to "; $i *= 11 ){" it is infinite. When changed to "; $i *= 100 ){" only one 'foo' is printed. Weird.
