I think I'm experiencing bug 11346 ( http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=11346 ) except with PHP 4.2.1:

Are you able to provide some short script which can
be used to reproduce this?

And do you load any extensions in php.ini?

No, it doesn't seem to happen on any specific script on the site. And we're not using register_shutdown_function() anywhere.

We're not loading any extensions.
