Dear sir/madam, my OS is Linux Mandrake 7.2 and i install apache as my web server and mysql as my database. (Perl is also pre loaded) However, i tried to install PHP by use php*.tar.gz or *.rpm are both failed. i don't know why. Isn't the computer missed some gcc (compilers such as C compiler or others). Please give me a hand . thanks. when i tried to install by using un-tar *.tar.gz. the error is as below: firstly, i saved the un-tar directory in /tmp/php-4.1.2/** it is a root user too.
